Rodessa’s Matriarchy
Rodessa’s Matriarchy is centered around showing the beauty and authenticity in Black families and preserving familial legacies. The importance of what we leave behind in this world once we are gone has become a priority. Within my process, I find remnants of the legacy I work to uncover which has become the foundation of my project. Four generations of family get-togethers, laughs with the kids, and professional portraits are arranged to tell the story of my family and the legacy that we are living and leaving behind.
